What We Do

We are a group of community volunteers who raise money so we can fund scholarships and awards that help women and girls make a better life for themselves. In addition to the Live Your Dream Award, we also give the Pauline Stuber Memorial STEM Scholarship (science, technology, engineering, and math) and the STaRTS (Scholarship in Theatre and Arts). We also support many non-profits that serve the most vulnerable in our community, including North Marin Community Services, Center for Domestic Peace which works to end domestic violence, and North Bay Science Discovery Day that inspires kids, especially girls and minorities, about STEM careers. Because we are part of an international Soroptimist organization, we sponsor a high school girl’s education at Daraja Academy in Kenya, Africa.

How We Reach Our Mission

We host a wide variety of fun events that raise money to help women and girls reach their goals such as the Annual Fashion Show and Silent Auction fundraiser, See’s candy sales, year-round carwash sales, and lobster sales.

What Else We Do for the Community

We sponsor a Soroptimist “S” Club called O.W.L.S. (Opportunities for Women and Girls in Leadership and Service). They are a vital part of the high school extracurricular program for girls to learn about serving others and helping the community. We serve as mentors to these students and assist them with community projects. Other projects we have supported are Marin County Coalition to End Human Trafficking, donated the clock at Novato City Hall, provided a flagpole for the Novato History Museum, purchased playground equipment, helped purchase vans for North Marin Community Services, and more.
