Dear Soroptimist International of Novato,
I personally wanted to thank you for accepting me to receive an annual award for my studies. With great gratitude I want to thank you for choosing me. I will be attending San Jose State University, majoring in Nursing. I was worried about how I will be able to afford college. Coming from a low-income household, college was always a high reach for my family. I will be the first in my family to attend college, thanks to you. This scholarship has opened the door for a better future. My words will never suffice to the amount of gratitude I have. Thank you for seeing my potential, and thank you for helping me be one step closer to achieving my dream. This scholarship helped me close the college money gap I had, so I do not have to use loans to pay for my college. Thank you again, and I promise to work hard and make a difference in my community.
