SUE LEVIN:  "Daraja Academy in Kenya"

Sue Levin, current club treasurer, shared details of her trip to Kenya in Africa to visit one of the charities that our Soroptimist club helps support. "What an eye-opener that visit was! Daraja is so far away, on many levels, from life here in Marin County. This amazing high school provided 30 girls per year with an opportunity to change the course of their lives by providing them with a free education. About 96 percent of Daraja students go on to college."
