Relay for Life is a 24-hour event to fight cancer and an opportunity for Novato to celebrate life. The event supports the American Cancer Society mission to save and celebrate lives. The Relay for Life leads the fight to prevent cancer.

Of the two-day event, cancer survivors are honored at the beginning of the walk on Saturday.  At dusk Saturday, lives that were lost to cancer are honored during the Luminary Ceremony.  Bags are lit with cancer victims' names and placed around the track.
