Eliza King of San Marin High School receives award from Sylvia Barry, Award Chair, Soroptimist International of Novato
The Pauline Stuber Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one graduating female student from both San Marin and Novato High Schools who lives in Novato and will be entering college in the fall in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related major. $500 is awarded to each student.
Pauline was a pioneer in the STEM field, a female civil engineer at a time when there were few, a tireless local and global volunteer who earned the distinct honor of the 1989 Novato Citizen of the Year award, and a charter member of Soroptimist International of Novato. This scholarship will honor Pauline as a trailblazer in her field and a pillar of the Novato community.
This annual scholarship is presented at the Senior Awards Night in the Spring. Applications will be available in April. Contact Sylvia Barry or the Career Counselor at the high school for more information.
