Soroptimist International of Novato

The O.W.L.S. is an S-club sponsored by Soroptimist International of Novato. It started in 2020 in partnership with the Novato Unified School District.  The OWLS, (Opportunity for Women in Leadership and Service) are high school students mentored in leadership and community service by Soroptimist members who serve as advisors.

 

Some of the OWLS projects include:

            Made fall pumpkins and wreaths in partnership with Novato Villages

            Created handmade holiday cards to bring joy to Novato seniors

            Invited Speakers to talk about personal growth and opportunities

            Baked Valentine’s Day cookies for seniors at the Villas at Hamilton

            Sponsored a collection of coats, jackets and other warm items

            to assist with Operation Warm Winter
